| Parent Chapter Member Jeff Annicelli wrote a moving tribute to the man that gave his life so that Vietnam War infantry "rookie" Annicelli could live. This piece, read by Parent Chapter President Fred "Fritz" Reiman at the Vietnam Memorial, was a telling reminder that the memories and scars of that long-ago war still remain. For those who do not recognize the meaning of military insignia, Jeff wears a Combat Infantryman's Badge. It is the silver rifle on a blue bar with a wreath. There is only one, hard way, to earn it, in battle. Jeff also has a Purple Heart Medal in recognition of wounds sustained in combat.
"Welcome Home, Jeff." |
